Candidate Readiness Assessment

Before joining the program, you'll complete an assessment with our support team to confirm you're a strong fit. We review your qualifications, experience, career goals, and motivations for working overseas, ensuring the program is the right pathway for you before you commit. This helps us set you up for genuine success from the outset.

Workplace & Culture  Training

A practical, online component that prepares you for the realities of working in Australia — building the job-ready skills and confidence employers are looking for. Delivered flexibly online, the training covers: Australian workplace communication, including everyday workplace etiquette and the handover language used in aged care settings An introduction to the culture and expectations of Australian aged care workplaces, including the OH&S standards you'll need to know before day one Digital literacy for the tools you'll use day to day on the job, including rostering platforms and job-search tools This gives you a genuine head start — so when you step into an Australian workplace, you understand not just the job itself, but how things are done, communicated and expected in an Australian aged care setting.

2

Career & Interview Readiness

A hands-on, personalised component of the program that helps you put your best foot forward with Australian employers. This includes: A workshop on resume and interview writing, so your application stands out for the right reasons One-on-one mock interview coaching, giving you real practice and honest feedback before it counts Guidance on building your professional profile, including LinkedIn, so it reflects your strengths and experience Advice on your digital footprint — including what's visible on your open social media — and how to present yourself professionally to prospective employers By the time you're ready to meet an employer, you'll have a polished application, real interview practice under your belt, and a professional online presence that works in your favour rather than against you.

Candidate Profiling & Employer Matching

We take the time to understand your skills, experience and career goals, then build a candidate profile that reflects your strengths to Australian aged care employers. Your profile becomes part of the SkillsBridge Talent network, shared with our employer partners across the sector as suitable opportunities arise. Where there's a genuine fit, we make the introduction — giving you a real chance to put your best foot forward with employers who are actively looking for skilled, work-ready candidates.

Managed Migration Support

For candidates who need a visa, we coordinate the migration process on your behalf — whether that's with our trusted partner migration lawyer, or with the lawyer appointed by the employer sponsoring you. Either way, you always know exactly who you're working with, and nothing gets lost between qualification and employment. We manage the coordination and keep things moving, while your migration lawyer provides the advice specific to your individual circumstances, ensuring you get qualified, personalised guidance at every step. We also help keep your supporting documents organised and ready, so when the time comes, you're not scrambling to pull things together. Please note: all visa and migration-related information is general in nature. SkillsBridge Talent does not provide individual migration advice or guarantee visa or sponsorship outcomes — this is always handled directly by a qualified migration lawyer, whether ours or one appointed by your employer.

3

Settlement Support in Australia

Our support doesn't stop once you land the job — we offer settlement support once you arrive in Australia, helping you get properly settled in your new life as well as your new role. This includes guidance on accommodation, opening a bank account, obtaining a driver's licence, and general orientation and cultural adaptation. We also run refresher workshops after you arrive (including first aid/CPR, where required by your employer), along with regular check-ins during your first months in the role to make sure you're settling in well. Looking further ahead, we can also support your progression into further study through our sister company, GeSS Education, including pathways toward a Certificate IV or Diploma qualification, if you want to keep building your career in Australia.

Candidate Journey

Steps 5-8 involve decisions made independently by employers, migration lawyers and government authorities (such as Department of Home Affairs). SkillsBridge Talent facilitates introductions and coordinates the process, but does not guarentee a job offer, employer sponsorship, nomination or visa outcomes, and does not provide individual migration advice - that is always handled by a qualified, independent migration lawyer. Timeframes vary for every candidate.
