SkillsBridge Talent
Privacy Policy
Version 0.1 | Effective date: 15th August, 2026
1. About This Policy
SkillsBridge Talent is a workforce readiness and candidate-employer introduction service operated by SkillsBridge Global Holdings Pty Ltd (ABN 12 699 034 734) References to “we”, “us” or “our” in this policy mean SkillsBridge Global Holdings Pty Ltd, trading as SkillsBridge Talent.
This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information when you participate in the SkillsBridge Talent Workforce Readiness Program, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to all program participants, whether you are referred to the program through GeSS Education or apply directly to SkillsBridge Talent.
SkillsBridge Talent is part of the wider SkillsBridge Global group, which also includes GeSS Education, and KinBridge Care. For information about how those entities handle personal information — for example, if you are also a GeSS Education student — see the full SkillsBridge Global Privacy Policy at [Insert link].
2. Personal Information We Collect
What we collect depends on how you engage with the program. This typically includes:
Category & Examples
-
Identity & contact details: Name, date of birth, contact details, residential address, identification documents
-
Career & readiness information: Résumé/CV, work history, skills profile, interview and coaching notes, professional references
-
Program participation records: Opt-in/acceptance form details, session attendance, progress and check-in notes
-
Employer-matching preferences: Role and location preferences, availability, information relevant to a prospective employer introduction
-
General migration-pathway status: General, non-case-specific information about where you sit in a broader pathway (for example, “nomination pending”) — not the content of any individual visa application or advice
We only collect sensitive information (such as information about criminal history, where relevant to a specific role) with your consent, or where otherwise permitted or required by law.
3. How We Collect Your Personal Information
-
Directly from you — when you complete our opt-in/acceptance form, take part in coaching sessions, or otherwise engage with the program.
-
From GeSS Education, where you are also a GeSS Education student and information is relevant to your participation in the Workforce Readiness Program.
-
From third parties, only where necessary and with your knowledge — for example, referees you have nominated, or our appointed migration lawyer (limited to coordination information, not the content of individual case advice).
4. Why We Collect, Use and Disclose Your Personal Information
-
To provide workforce readiness coaching — résumé and interview support, cultural and workplace readiness, and document-readiness assistance.
-
To maintain your candidate profile and, where a suitable opportunity arises, introduce you to a prospective employer.
-
To coordinate with our appointed migration lawyer where your pathway involves one — SkillsBridge Talent does not provide individual visa or migration advice.
-
To communicate with you about your program participation, including invoices and progress updates.
-
For internal administration and quality assurance.
We only use your personal information for the purposes above. It is not used to make, or assist in making, any decision about your visa or migration outcome — that sits solely with your appointed migration lawyer or registered migration agent.
5. Who We Share Your Personal Information With
-
GeSS Education, where relevant to your enrolment and program participation.
-
Prospective employer partners, limited to the information relevant to a specific introduction, and only where you are aware this forms part of your participation in the program.
-
Our appointed migration lawyer or registered migration agent, limited to coordination and document handover.
-
IT and service providers who support our systems (for example, our candidate database and coaching-scheduling tools), under contractual confidentiality obligations.
-
Where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it to unrelated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
6. Overseas Disclosure
As many SkillsBridge Talent participants are based outside Australia, and we use cloud-based systems, we may disclose personal information to overseas recipients, which may include:
-
You, where you are located overseas during the program
-
Cloud, software and IT service providers who may store personal information on servers located overseas
Before we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to that information, consistent with APP 8.
7. Direct Marketing
-
We may use your contact details to send you information about SkillsBridge Talent that may be relevant to you — for example, program updates.
-
You can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in our communications, or by contacting us
8. Automated Decision-Making
From 10 December 2026, new transparency requirements under the Privacy Act require us to tell you if we use a computer program to make, or substantially assist in making, a decision that could significantly affect your rights or interests.
As at the date of this policy, SkillsBridge Talent does not use automated decision-making (including AI-based tools) to make decisions that significantly affect a participant’s rights or interests without meaningful human review. If this changes, we will update this policy accordingly.
9. How We Store and Protect Your Personal Information
-
We store personal information in secure systems, with access restricted on a need-to-know basis.
-
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, and securely destroy or de-identify it when no longer required.
10. Access and Correction
You can request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us (see Section 13). We will respond within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days.
11. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or this policy, please contact us in the first instance (see Section 13). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
