SkillsBridge Global Privacy Policy
Covering SkillsBridge Global, GeSS Education, KinBridge Care and SkillsBridge Talent
Version 0.1 | Effective date: 15th August, 2026
1. About This Policy
SkillsBridge Global Holdings Pty Ltd and its related entities — GeSS Education, KinBridge Care, and SkillsBridge Talent (together, “SkillsBridge Global”, “we”, “us” or “our”) — are committed to protecting the privacy of personal information we hold.
This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and any other privacy law that applies to us. It applies across the whole SkillsBridge Global group, including the SkillsBridge Talent workforce readiness and candidate-matching service.
Some SkillsBridge Global entities are bound by the Privacy Act regardless of annual turnover — for example, KinBridge Care is a health service provider and is covered irrespective of size. -
We handle sensitive information with additional care, including restricting access on a need-to-know basis.
4. How We Collect Personal Information
-
Directly from you — for example, enrolment forms, student acceptance agreements, program opt-in forms, care assessments, or job/candidate applications.
-
From third parties, only where necessary and lawful — for example, education agents, referral partners, relevant government agencies (such as the Department of Home Affairs, ASQA, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs), previous education providers or employers (for verification purposes), or our appointed migration lawyer (limited to coordination information, not individual case advice).

Through our website — see Section 7 (Website and Cookies).
5. Why We Collect, Use and Disclose Personal Information
-
To deliver, administer and assess training and assessment services (GeSS Education).

To provide home care, aged care, disability and veteran support services (KinBridge Care), including reporting to government funders such as the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and the Department of Health and Aged Care.

To deliver workforce readiness coaching, candidate profiling and employer introductions (SkillsBridge Talent). This is for readiness and coordination purposes only — SkillsBridge Talent does not provide immigration or migration advice, which remains the responsibility of your appointed migration lawyer or registered migration agent.
-
To meet our regulatory and compliance obligations, including under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations, sponsorship record-keeping obligations of the relevant sponsoring employer under the Migration Act 1958 (Cth), and other applicable legislation.

Employer partners, limited to information relevant to a candidate introduction, and only where the candidate is aware this forms part of program participation.

-
Our professional advisers, including lawyers, auditors and accountants.
-
Where required or authorised by law, including under court orders or mandatory reporting obligations connected with aged care, disability or child-safety legislation.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose personal information to unrelated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
7. Overseas Disclosure
SkillsBridge Global delivers offshore training and candidate pathways, including in India, the Philippines and Papua New Guinea, and uses cloud-based systems that may store or process data outside Australia. As a result, we may disclose personal information to overseas recipients, which may include:
-
Offshore training and practical-placement partners in the relevant country
-
Cloud, software and IT service providers who may store personal information on servers located overseas
Before we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to that information, consistent with APP 8. Where we instead rely on your informed consent to an overseas disclosure, we will tell you this at the time we collect your information.
8. Website and Cookies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to improve functionality and understand how visitors use our site. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though this may affect how the site functions. We do not use website analytics data to identify individuals unless you have provided your contact details to us directly.
9. Direct Marketing
-
We may use your contact details to send you information about our programs and services that may be relevant to you — for example, new course intakes or SkillsBridge Talent program updates.
-
You can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in our communications, or by contacting our Privacy Officer.
-
We do not provide your personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
10. Automated Decision-Making
From 10 December 2026, new transparency requirements under the Privacy Act require us to tell you if we use a computer program to make, or substantially assist in making, a decision that could reasonably be expected to significantly affect your rights or interests, and to describe the kinds of personal information used in that process.
As at the date of this policy, SkillsBridge Global does not use automated decision-making (including AI-based tools) to make decisions that significantly affect an individual’s rights or interests without meaningful human review. If this changes, we will update this policy and notify affected individuals as required by law.
11. How We Store and Protect Personal Information
-
We store personal information in secure cloud-based and on-premises systems, with access restricted on a need-to-know basis and staff trained in privacy obligations.
-
Security measures include access controls, password protection and, where applicable, encryption.
-
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law — for example, under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations, or aged care and disability service record-keeping requirements. We securely destroy or de-identify personal information no longer required.
12. Data Breach Response
SkillsBridge Global has a data breach response process and will comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) of any eligible data breach likely to result in serious harm.
13. Access and Correction
-
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting our Privacy Officer (see Section 16).
-
We will respond to requests within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days.
-
We do not charge a fee for making a request, though reasonable costs may apply to providing access in some circumstances.
-
In limited circumstances permitted by law, we may decline a request for access or correction. If we do, we will explain why.
14. Complaints
If you believe SkillsBridge Global has breached the Australian Privacy Principles or this policy, please contact our Privacy Officer in the first instance (see Section 16). We will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe, generally within 30 days.
